Hello everyone,
Hope you are doing well. My first episode aired last Friday. Did you all get a chance to see it?
I've been working alot on this storyline before and after the holiday break, and I hope you like it as much as I've enjoyed doing the work. Now I'm sure you know a little about the direction they've taken Philip. He's not a very nice person. There's alot about him that makes it feel like this is a new character. Definitely different than was written for Kyle or myself, the first time around. He has had so many horrible things happen to him, that it has changed him alot. And regarding him trying to get custody of Claire, all I can say is that sometimes people do crazy things for love. I'm not saying it's right to do these things, but this love for Claire has a hold of Philip, and he doesn't want to let go.
I've been mostly working with Martha, Brandon, and John Aniston of course. I've also been working with Annie Burgestede, who plays Willow. I love how they've written the relationship with Philip and Willow, and I hope you like it too.

I still have that P.O. box, but only for 6 more months. So send all mail to the studio, and write the producers, etc. if you would like to as well. You all know what writing letters can do for a storyline. Phloe fans can attest to that.
Also, Judith Lovejoy will be helping me with my mail, and anything related to it. She's great. Some of you probably already know her; she does mail for a few other people on set.
And as always, I will post on the JKJ websites as much as I can.......I think that's about it for now. Take care of yourselves, and I'll talk to you soon.

Hey Jay!
I don't know if you ever come back and read these posts, but I for one am not very happy about the direction that they're taking Philip. I hate that he's becoming Victor's Mini-Me. That's not the Philip that I adored and watched every day for. I'll watch because you're playing the part, but I'm not liking the direction that Philip is going in.
And if they're pairing him with Willow - ugh. That's not something I want to watch. Philip deserves better. 
But that is fun news that Judith Lovejoy will be handling all your mail. She was a great help to us Phloe fans back in the day and made it easy for us to get our stuff to the set. Although, I would probably disagree with you on what writing letters can do for a storyline. My experience as a Phloe fan was that I got totally and completely screwed over and never got the storyline I desperately wanted.
I haven't seen today's episode yet (I'm recording it so that I don't have to watch anything but your scenes) but I'm really looking forward to it. It'll be fun to have you back on a regular basis!

Hey Jay,
I watched Friday's and today's show and I really enjoyed it. I can tell the build up is leading to a very different, but strong character with Philip and I think I'm prepared for it.  I know how excited I was to see you, but I'm a little biased right? But a friend of mine, that I grew up watching Days with, called in the middle of the show and let the phone ring until I finally picked up and she yelled.."MINDY, JAY IS BACK!! TURN TO NBC RIGHT NOW!!!" She was beside herself with emotion and I could hear her mom in the background excited too. Her mom was saying.."Oooooh, don't mess with Philip Kiriakis now Baby!" LOL! Even though we haven't talked in over a year, my friend was mad that I didn't call her and tell her you were back. It was so funny because it wasn't "Hey, how's the family?" It was, "Hey! Why didn't you tell me Jay was back?!" 
I thought that story would make you laugh and also give you an indication of the excitement surrounding your return. As far as the storyline and writing, it's good that you're having fun and enjoying the storyline and interaction with your costars. I haven't been watching Days so I had to catch up on the new characters and the latest happenings in Salem. And oh boy so much has happened! I guess my only complaint is Philip's new face. I think so many of your older scenes with Aniston and Koslow would be wonderful flashbacks and history for the current storyline. I just hope the "new" face doesn't mean they won't use some older clips of your Philip. I also love that you're working with twin babies. That is so adorable, Jay. Is that challenging because babies are so unpredictable. LOL. I'll be tuning in and writing you at the studio. Thanks for keeping in touch. It means a lot to all of us.

Jay - when I replied earlier, I hadn't see today's episode. I hadn't posted about Friday's show, because I knew the scene would be replayed today.
It was great seeing you again today. Great job!
Re the storyline - I'm open to anything. Philip has changed, as people often do. It's four years later, and much has happened to him: combat, injuries, divorce, another injury. Life's experiences often change a person - and not always for the better. I'm going to sit back and watch, and see what the new Philip is like, how life has effected him - and where the storyline takes him.

I seem it on friday It was really good phillip has change a lot since 2002 but it was really good phillip did not change for the better cuz what he is doing is wrong I don't liked that he is sideing with his dad that is sucks but I'm glad Jay you are back as hot as ever

Welcome back! It was like old home week when you took off your bandages revealing your new face today. I got a warm fuzzy feeling. I am not really happy with the story but it is exciting and I'm anxious to see it play out. LOL It is about time Philip started acting like a chip off the old block. LOL With Kate and Victor as parents how can Philip miss being a tad nasty. I look forward to seeing this turn about in you or should I say Philip. Like I said welcome home.

Welcome back,its so nice to see u back on Days. This time around you are gonna make the character very interesting.But your relationship with Willow,is nuts LOL. But welcome back and Hope u stay on there for awhile U do rock!

It's so good to hear from you. Thank you for posting.
Wow--- 2 posts in 1 month. That must be a record for you. LOL
I was wondering about that PO box because mail I sent you there in October was returned to me unopened and with no reason given.
From now on I'll use the Days Burbank address. I'm glad you have someone to help with your mail. That should make your life a bit easier.
I'm glad you're excited to be back at Days and enjoying being Philip Kiriakis again----even if he's very different from last time.
I expect with the way Philip's being written, worse is yet to come.
As the old saying goes---"You ain't seen nothing yet"!!!
Thank you again for posting Jay. It sure is great to be finding stuff about you and your "new" Philip in the magazines again.

Hi Jay!! It sure was nice to hear from you!! I did catch Days on Friday & was disappointed that they didn't show you til the end, but I figured that's what they would do!! lol!! However, I was very excited to see that you took off your bandages!! It's so nice to have you back on Days where you belong!! Kyle did not do your character justice. Anyways, I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hey Jay....
Thanks for posting and it's great having you back as Philip .... I love the direction the writers are taking with Philip ... he is a more mature and darker character than before and you certainly are doing a fantastic showing that new side of him... I look forward to seeing how the new evil Philip will develop in the coming weeks... kudos to your performance so far.... it's been outstanding!!! ... keep up the good work and hope to hear from you again soon
